Dr. Manu Mehdiratta

Founder/Neurologist/Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Manu Mehdiratta completed medical school at McMaster University in 2001 and Neurology Residency at the University of British Columbia in 2006. He then completed fellowship training in stroke and cerebrovascular diseases at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre (BIDMC) in Boston, Massachusetts and following fellowship served on the faculty in the Division of Cerebrovascular Diseases, Department of Neurology, BIDMC and Harvard Medical School.

He is currently a practicing neurologist at Trillium Health Partners.  He is on faculty in the Division of Neurology, University of Toronto. He founded iScope Concussion and Pain Clinics to better serve patients with concussions  and neurological disorders across Canada. 

His clinical interests include concussion, headache and cerebrovascular diseases. He has published numerous articles, papers and chapters in the area of concussion and stroke.  He is currently licensed in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.

When not practicing neurology Dr Mehdiratta can be found riding his road bike, skiing or playing tennis with his family and friends.

Dr. Navjot Chaudhary

Neurosurgeon/Medical Director

Dr. Navjot Chaudhary, MD, FRCSC, is the Medical Director of iScope Concussion and Pain Clinic, BC Clinics. She obtained her medical degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, in 2007. She subsequently completed her residency in Neurosurgery at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, in 2013, followed by fellowship training in Spine Surgery and CyberKnife Radiosurgery at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.

Following her fellowship training, she joined the Department of Neurosurgery at Stanford University as a Clinical Assistant Professor in 2015. Dr. Chaudhary returned to Canada in 2019.

Dr. Chaudhary is a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Board-Certified Neurosurgeon with a clinical focus on concussion/traumatic brain injury. She has extensive experience in the assessment and management of concussion-related symptoms and provides evidence-based treatments, including Botox injections for chronic headaches.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Chaudhary has contributed extensively to medical education and research and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters in the fields of neurosurgery, spine disorders, and traumatic brain injury.

Dr. Chaudhary combines her Neurosurgical training with a multidisciplinary concussion-care approach, allowing patients to receive comprehensive assessment and treatment recommendations for concussion and post-traumatic headache conditions.

Girish Bala is the President of iScope Concussion & Pain Clinics, where he leads strategy and operations across one of Canada’s premier physician-led concussion, neurological, and pain care networks.

A business leader with over two decades of experience, Girish has founded and scaled companies across healthcare and other industries, and held senior operations and finance roles at Purolator, BlackBerry, and Rogers Communications. He brings this operational discipline to iScope, building an integrated, patient-centered model that unites leading physicians, neurosurgeons, neurologists, and neuro-ophthalmologists with multidisciplinary allied health services to deliver best-in-class outcomes.

Under his leadership, iScope continues to grow as a trusted name in specialized rehabilitation, with a clinical practice grounded in evidence and research. Girish holds an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.

Outside of work, Girish is an avid long-distance endurance cyclist and a lifelong photographer, with one of his images published in National Geographic. He’s fascinated by horology and the craft of watchmaking, and counts a hypothetical place alongside Anthony Bourdain — traveling the world for its food and its stories — as the career he’d have chosen in another life.
